Memories

Nathalie Abou Hamza

BA '22

When I joined LAU to study Communication Arts in 2019 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, economic crisis, and protests, I found comfort in the resilience of my university. Despite the challenges, LAU stood as a beacon of stability, a steady home that never stumbled. This is the first of many experiences imprinted in my memory.

In my second year, the MEPI TL scholarship transformed my life, opened doors to unparalleled opportunities, and forged connections that endure to this day. The experiences, friendships, and mentorship I gained are treasures I hold to this day. Every encounter, from esteemed professors to fellow scholars, enriched my journey and reinforced my pride in being part of the MEPI community.

Engaging in Model United Nations and Model Arab League was an amazing journey that allowed me to refine my public speaking skills, hone effective communication, and much more.

Furthermore, serving as a secretary in the Event Organization Club was a privilege that allowed me to contribute to activities related to campus life.

As I graduated with distinction in 2022, I reflect with immense gratitude on my alma mater, LAU. It has been more than an educational institution; it has been a nurturing environment that has shaped me into the person I am today. Thank you, LAU, for being one of the finest universities, an institution that fosters not only academic excellence but also personal growth and resilience.
