Mohammad El Medawar

BS ’11 and MS ’13

The place I remember most fondly is the Computer Lab in Sage Hall. I spent countless hours there as a student, learning, researching, and preparing for my computer science classes. It was also where I fulfilled all my financial aid working hours. In my second and third undergraduate years, I served as an assistant lab instructor in the same lab. When I began my master’s, I was awarded a full scholarship as a teaching assistant, and naturally, all my classes took place there as well.

All those hours of study and work paid off. I became a Microsoft Certified Trainer, delivering training courses in Gulf countries. Recently, I was awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award for inventing the first-ever Microsoft Excel Simulator. LAU, I am forever grateful.
